Not until we elect leaders who think to develop Ghana strategically (no the likes of Mahama who thinks like a GCE-A-Level student in his approach to problem solving), Ghana we not develop in our time.
As a result of the incumbent government's lack of strategic thinking and planning, the president attributed a preventable accident to an act of God, so that it will preclude holding people responsible and accountable.
Instead of the government foreseeing and planning to prevent these types of incidents and to avoid the constant power shortages by devising short-term and longterm planning, they are just sitting on power just to lord it over the people and continue with their wealth amassing spree.
Ghana need visionary leadership as well as strategic thinkers who can for example analyse and synthesise the Ghana energy situation and say let's strengthen the current short-term measures to avoid the crisis but at the same time, planning for the longterm energy needs of Ghana from the next 20 years onwards in terms developing solar energy technologists, wind farms, nuclear energy, etc.
We need these types of thinking accross the socio-economic spectrum of Ghana to move Ghana forward, otherwise if stick to the current firefighting style of problem solving, i am afraid Ghana will have a very long we to go.
