An evangelist advises students to participate positively in Election 2012

Mr. Albert Forson, an evangelist and Executive Director of Mind Set International, an NGO, has appealed to students not to allow themselves to be used by politicians to destroy the nation and their future during Election 2012.

“Progress in quality education can only be achieved in a peaceful environment. We must collectively ensure that Election 2012 and subsequent elections will be peaceful,” he said.

Mr. Forson said this at the graduation of 113 students and open day of Abeka Junior High School on the theme: “Ensuring Peace And Tolerance In Election 2012: A Pre-requisite For Ghana’s Educational Advancement.”

He said it was the duty of every Ghanaian to participate in the attainment of peace since the Electoral Commission (EC) and the security services alone could not ensure peace.

The Chief of New Fadama, Chief Rhidwan Abbass, said Ghana was seen as the beacon of hope, peace, stability and development across Africa and the world and it was important to maintain this record in ensuring that Election 2012 would be peaceful.

One of the graduates, Fuseni Alhasan, told the GNA that he would contribute his quota in ensuring peace before, during and after Election 2012.*
