More NPP Cocaine Barons To Be Busted
- Security Chief Discloses

News Desk Report

Against the scenery of speculations in the media seeking to suggest that some members of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) believed to be in the drug trade can hardly close their eyes since the arrest of ace drug suspect, Christian Asem Darke, aka the Limping Man, and are finding ways to flee the country, a high-up security capo (name withheld) has indicated that none of those within the security radar can escape, this time round.

Speaking to The Informer over the weekend, the security chief, in a very explicit language said, there is no way the various security agencies of the state will compromise their professional standards in their efforts to unknot the mystery surrounding the supposedly missing 77 parcel of cocaine aboard the MV Benjamin, now that the man (Asem Darke) in the centre of the issue has been busted.

“We have beef-up security everywhere in the country, and so therefore, anybody whose name will come up in connection with this MV Benjamin cocaine case cannot escape, I can assure you”, the capo hinted.

“The Asem Darke gentleman, who, all of a sudden has turned himself into a singing bird, has come out with names of top NPP gurus, who are neck-deep in the cocaine trade and are associated with the MV Benjamin cocaine case; and we will not spare them, I can swear”, he told The Informer .

“Security is tight at all the exit and entry points of this nation, and all those who will be mentioned in this MV Benjamin cocaine matter in addition to those that we already have, cannot flee the shores of this country, I can assure you”

“We are on high alert, and will clamp down on those who have a price to pay in this infamous cocaine issue; and so therefore, those who have put it high on their agenda to leave the country because of their involvement in this matter, must be laughing at the wrong side of their mouth”, the capo added and says, ’not even flies can outfox the security, as far as this particular matter is concerned.

Asked who the NPP cocaine barons soon to be busted are, the security chief, unyielding to pressure only said, there are big NPP personalities involved, and that very soon, Ghanaians will get to know of them and why some of them have started pooh-poohing the arrest of the prime suspect, Asem Darke.

However, intelligence available to this paper has it that, former President Kufuor, his son, Chief Kufuor, his brother, Kwame Addo Kufuor and Chief Justice Georgina Theodora Wood, since day one of the Limping man’s arrest, have had sleepless nights, whiles Mr. Malik Baako and his Coffee Shop gang prepare to go on the defence of their paymasters.

Asem Darke, the chief suspect in the MV Benjamin debacle that soiled the image of this country under the Kufuor-led NPP administration, as well as the purportedly missing 77 parcel of cocaine, was arrested by the state security agencies last week. His arrest, however, has sent shivers down the spines, as it creates anxiety within the NPP bigwigs. More Anon.
