Delta Completes Internship Intake

Delta Interns in place across Eastern and Western Africa

Accra, 9 November 2011 - Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) has completed the full intake for the first ever Business School Internship which launched this year in Senegal, Kenya, Ghana and Nigeria. The Delta funded program was devised alongside local business colleges and runs for one year, providing interns with on-the-job training and valuable work experience.

“The internship is part of Delta’s ongoing investment in Africa and I am very pleased to welcome this year’s first intake of interns. Delta worked closely with local business schools to select the inaugural class and it was a very competitive process with many talented candidates.” said Bobby Bryan, Sales Manager, East and West Africa. “I look forward to working with all of the interns during the course of the year and wish them all the best of luck.”

All interns are now in place at the local Delta offices, during the course of the year the interns will be working across departments, handling specific projects and making analytical presentations. The internship culminates in a trip to Atlanta where they will meet with relevant managers and take a tour of Delta’s headquarters.

Delta currently operates 44 weekly flights between Africa and the United States, serving six African cities in five countries.
