Smart Micro finance company is not bankrupt- ex-manager

The former manager of Smart Micro Finance Company, Mr. Richard Attu, has debunked allegations that the company is bankrupt and is therefore assuring the general public and clients in particular that their monies are safe.

According Mr. Attu, information reaching him indicates that after his resignation from the company, there had been some panic withdrawal of deposits, which might have resulted from mis-information.

The former manger stated categorically in a press release that the company is not facing any financial difficulties.

He rather explained that Smart Micro Finance Company has been taken over by new management hence the need to streamline things before it starts to operate fully.

Mr. Attu pointed out that he resigned from the company because as a traditional ruler he found it convenient to work closer to his traditional area so that he could kill two birds with one stone by serving his people and at the same time making ends meet as a chartered economist.
