News-One broke a story last week that hot actress Yvonne Nelson had bought a Volkswagen Touareg 2011 model in an apparent move to maintain her celebrity status and counter claims she had lost her swag.

Fresh information from the actress’s camp says though News-One had pegged the cost of the vehicle at $44,450, Yvonne actually bought the new ride at a whopping $72,000. She has been spotted cruising in it around her Dansoman residence in Accra.

The arrival of the new ride contradicts earlier reports that she had ordered a new Range Rover which was still on the high seas. Other actresses known to own flashy cars include Nadia Buari, daughter of Ghana’s music icon Alhaji Sidiku Buhari. In 2010, Nadia released an ultra-modern luxurious SUV Lexus Rx 350 believed to have cost something near US$100,000.

She further customized the registration number plate of the vehicle to suit her initials. The registration number, ‘NSB-210’, is believed to stand for Nadia Sidiku Buhari. Charming actress Jackie Appiah also owns and cruises in a £120,000 ultra-modern Range Rover that has its registration number plate customized in her name.

She also has a 2008 mode Nissan Murano, and an all-wheel drive variant Infinity 2009 mode.
