This is the reason why President John Mahama could scam many hungry and poor Ghanaians expecting jobs under his regime. Dr Mahamudu Bawumia shd not jubilate over this bcoz when he wins the task will be so daunting.

After moving from Ghana to the United States and living there for five years, I can confidently say that Ghana’s leaders bear responsibility for youth unemployment in the country.
I used to think that jobs in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom were somehow unique and required highly specialised skills. What I saw changed my mind. Governments in these countries have deliberately built systems that create jobs by meeting everyday needs in areas such as food supply, clean water, healthcare, sanitation, security and education. Ghana faces many of the same challenges. Yet poor leadership and coordination leave these problems unresolved while many young people look abroad for work.
In my view, Ghana’s government has become a looting brigade. It makes promises while failing to build systems that last. Why does the United States keep recruiting healthcare professionals while Ghana struggles to employ the professionals it has already trained? The United States plans for its healthcare needs and creates jobs to meet them. Even visa fees generate revenue for the United States, while Ghana continues to mismanage its immigration system.
Ghanaian leaders regularly travel to these countries and see how their systems work. Yet they come home and tell citizens things they know are untrue. Water supply and sanitation alone provide steady employment in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. People build careers treating water, maintaining pipelines, repairing leaks and managing waste. In Ghana, unreliable access to clean water and poor sanitation continue to put lives at risk. Improving these services would also create jobs that communities need year after year.
I hold both the NDC and the NPP responsible. Even when young people are willing to work, corruption can rob them of the pay they have earned. The United States creates jobs by tackling many of the same problems we face in Ghana. Our leaders need to wake up, take responsibility and stop blaming the youth.

A good number of government institutions are over staffed.

Vegetables are essential commodities in Russia during the winter. So we may organize some of the youth to grow tomato and onion to be exported to Russia during the winter.
