The rate of industrialization and economic growth, and its resultant increase in port activity, is becoming imcreasingly difficult for our roads to cope with. Our next big leap into industrialization, cannot succeed without a reliable rail network, especially between the ports, major cities and industrial centres.

1day 50 or 70 thousand dollars? Why cheat the poor because all this cost will be factored in to the end product for the consumer

I blame the Port congestion at the door steps of GPHA. What I saw with my visits there only shows that the management only goes to the office to sit and read news or watch tick talk and come hiome. In fact if management are to think outside the box to solve problems, the congestion we are seeing there will not be there.
In fact what stops GPHA from utilising the old private terminals to aide them. The truth is that those delays rather give them money and no one is ready to sue them and the Shippers Authority led by Gyampo is as terrible as them. If that cannot be said of MPS what stops them from copying what MPS is doing? Now their lapses is affecting MPS because they are unable to bring their terminal for clearance when all payments are made thereby accruing demurrage and rent charges to burden the importer. In fact it us terrible.
In fact, Why can't hire problem solving to do these technical job instead of politics?
So Ayana place the problem at the door steps of the DIrector of GPHA. He is the cause.
You know Cote D'ivoire experience same and directed some shippers to Takoradi Port abd they are moving faster now. So why can't Tema Port do same?
