If there should be Reparations, it should be paid to the African American people because they were sold. No African country should have compensation. Was it not the African monarchs who sold their own into slavery as a result of greed? Before the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade, there was the Trans Saharan Slave Trade. It were the African Monarchs and people who sold their own. It were the African people who fought and conquered each other and sold the conquered people into slavery.
One should go to Ghana, Nigeria and other African places to learn who sold who into slavery. It should be understood that the Trans Saharan and Trans Atlantic Slave Trade were legitimate trades then. Were African Monarchs not selling their own to the Arab people into Slavery? African countries should consider apologizing for the Slave Trades that they started and engaged in because they were equally guilty of those inhuman Slave Trades that went on.

The slave trade started when Christopher Columbus discovered America where they needed human labour to work on the sugarcane,coffee,cotton and tobacco plantations.
The European capitalists,bankers,investors and entrepreneurs found it lucrative to bring strong Africans to work for free.
The Europeans gained lot of money from it,many of them left the shores of Africa after the abolishment of the trade.
Ironically,we can't even grow sugarcane today in Ghana to produce the same sugar our ancestors were enslaved to do.
Mr President,you have built a Sugar Factory at Komenda since 2016 so when are you going to operate it?Tnx.
