The brother of the late 15-year-old Ghanaian boy, Javits Frimpong, has shared a video showing the exact spot where he was shot and killed in the Bronx, New York.

In the video shared on X by Askghmedia on October 30, 2026, he is seen at the scene, where candles have been placed and lit in memory of the teenager.

He expressed sadness over his brother's death, pointing to the spot where the fatal shooting happened and showing the candles left by mourners.

“This is the exact spot they shot and killed my brother. Do you see that people have left burning candles at the spot to mourn him?” he said.

Javits was reportedly on his way to school when he was attacked by some of his classmates in the early hours of October 29, 2026, who allegedly ambushed him and shot him dead.

His brother, while recounting the incident, said the teenager was killed at the same location where he was standing in the video.

“He was on his way to school, and his classmates ambushed and attacked him. They killed him right here in New York,” he added.

Earlier, GhanaWeb shared CCTV footage of the fatal shooting, which was reportedly recorded in the early hours of Thursday, October 29, 2026, at about 8:01 a.m., and appeared to capture the moments leading up to Frimpong’s shooting, including his movements and those of his alleged attackers.

The footage showed Frimpong running away while being chased by someone who initially appeared to be a young boy of about the same height as him.

The unidentified individual was dressed in black joggers and a hoodie, which covered his head. He was also wearing a face mask.

Frimpong was seen running across the street as the suspected attacker pursued him. However, the individual later stops chasing him and turns back.

Other angles of the CCTV footage showed additional teenagers, two of them believed to have been involved in the shooting, on the opposite side of the street. They were also seen running in Frimpong's direction.
