The men and women who serve in Ghana police unifirms are in no win situation irrespective of ruling government party and this is yet another example of politicization of the health, safety, security and morals of seemingly morally bankrupt community and region.
If some in our society live in fear of Ghana's security services, political parties and community elders and can only come out when a notorious wannabe journalist comes around for them to have the courage to expose untold abuses then exactly what do we have, as a nation, for moral guidance?
People of the NPP kind have no shame; they never have sense of shame to worry about and that has been the problem of Ghana. Was it not a small girl the UP/NPP sent with flowers to blow up Kwame Nkrumah? What was the value of females then? In recent times of the so-called 2nd Republic, how many women have the political parties used as cheap props to gain political influence or power? Did the Ashanti NPP not use a grown Ashanti woman who valued money more than honor to lie to voters about "dumsor" being the source of poverty for her family even as the old frog knew she was lying to Ashanti voters?
The issue of abuse of people under the age of 20-years, male or female, should never be about gender or political party but about a larger society that continues to look the other way while the Ghana Police Service that is supposed to be our go to place for safety and protection become a neutered body that parades men and women in spineless uniforms.
