Ghana Was Bought by the NPP 1 day ago
Ghanaweb is doing what it was bought for. To do dirty, cheap propaganda for the NPP. But we'll know Ghanaians are becoming more enlightened in the issues of politics.

They better know the coastal belt was up to the present barrier. Then the name was Trans Volta which means they had nothing to do with the Volta River. George Padmore research library in Accra has a lot to tell. If the Komkomba; the Akans, Karachi etc. people in the north would follow up is up to them. Better they remember what brought them in was the land. After the lands withdrawal none of their people would be here entertained. Better they all go as well.
The slogan is ‘’ ONE COUNTRY ONE PEOPLE ‘’ If they want to go, they could as well stay as go.

It is obvious that the majority of the people who are agitating for the creation of Western Togoland out of the present territory of Ghana are Ayigbes. The original inhabitants of Western Togoland were not exclusively Ayiigbes. The Ayigbes inhabited the south but the inhabitants of the north were not Ayigbes. During the 1956 Plebiscite those who voted against joining Ghana were the people in the south predominantly Ayigbes. Those up north voted to become part of Ghana. With the splitting of the former Volta Region into Oti Region and Volta Region the demarcation is clearcut. The people up north are not agitating for Western Togoland: they have accepted their Ghanaian nationality. If those in the current Volta Region want their State, Government should engage them and find a peaceful way to part ways as long as they are made to understand that their State will strictly cover the current territory of the Volta Region. It's better for Ghana to have peace than accommodate restless people as part of its citizenship.
