Good exercise to prevent power stealing from the Government, but it may be also another avenue for these technicians or inspectors to extort money from land lords, tenants etc. in case some one is having illegal connection and offers them money to overlook their crime !!!!! Another means of corruption in the offing.

@ Concerned Citizen, I have six (6) meters in one of my houses and these meters are READ ONCE EVERY THREE MONTHS. If there is an unscrupulous electrician among the six tenants, definitely he/she will do ILLEGAL connection to avoid paying the required bill. The tenant who has done the illegal connection will study the ECG billing system and reconnect few days to the reading day. So to minimise these illegal connections, the meters must be read monthly. I am at Tarkwa.

Go to Nima and Ashiaman. Every shack has an air condition installed and they dont pay bills.
Almost every household in the deep ghettoes is illegally connected and no one dares to go near those places.
