Seventy (70) years after independence and we still can not supply our citizens with clean drinking water which is a basic human need. In the temperate parts of the world, where their rivers and lakes gets frozen during the winter season household still have water flowing into their homes. In Ghana/Africa our rivers flow throughout the year and yet we are unable to supply our people with clean pipe-borne water. I ask what is wrong with the black political leadership? Do our leaders care for our welfare? What is political power for if not to improve the lives of citizens. It is heartbreaking to see the constant sufferings we are subjected to on the African continent due to poor political leadership and weak state institutions.

What have we citizen's done to deserve all this suffering?the volta River starts from the north to south into the sea. Yet, we decided to treat sea water for consumption. It looks like we enjoy suffering to get simple things. What is so complex about treating water to distribute? We complain of money when what we are doing is business. At the end of the day, a few people squander the company money through corruption. Jesus is coming to judge all of us, let's change our ways and leave proper management legacy for the generations. The work of man is to manage God's created resources well, not destroy them.
