The government raised about GH¢1.54 billion less than its treasury bill target after accepting only part of the bids submitted by investors.
Bank of Ghana auction figures showed that investors offered GH¢5.17 billion against a target of GH¢5.02 billion. However, the Treasury accepted GH¢3.48 billion, leaving about GH¢1.69 billion in bids unaccepted.
This means investor offers exceeded the target, but the amount the government actually borrowed fell below its planned amount.
The 91-day bill attracted the highest demand, receiving bids worth GH¢2.94 billion. The Treasury accepted approximately GH¢2.20 billion.
