Oyiwa ! Kevin Taylor said it. They secretly met Bawumia last week to complain about the import duties. Kevin has already exposed them and explained to Ghanaians how the GUTA crooks were evading taxes at the port, and how taxes meant for the State were being diverted to these GUTA thieves pockets. How some of them were clearing their goods free without paying the necessary duties. Since NDC took over, those loopholes has been blocked. Thank you Kevin Taylor.

A WORD TO THE WISE: NDC MUST NOT REPEAT THE NPP’S MISTAKES!
The NPP handed over power to the NDC in 2024, partly because of growing dissatisfaction among supporters and voters. If the NDC repeats the same mistakes, it could face a similar fate in 2028.
Many grassroots supporters feel neglected and are struggling economically under the current administration. Critics argue that the NPP did more to reward its party members with appointments than the NDC has done so far.
President John Mahama reduced the number of ministerial positions, leaving some supporters wondering why vacant ministerial and CEO positions remain unfilled while party loyalists continue to wait for opportunities.
The grassroots played a crucial role in bringing the NDC to power. Their concerns, sacrifices and expectations must not be ignored.
If the NDC hopes to win the 2028 elections, it must pay attention to its grassroots supporters, address their concerns and ensure that qualified party members are not forgotten.
A word to the wise is at Assin North and the entire NDC grassroots are watching.

Import duties in Ghana is too high and does not make any sense for making payments higher for prices of goods being shipped to Ghana. After paying more than double the price of a car shipped to Ghana on taxes, duties and others, many people have decided to stop imports on automobiles to Ghana under this useless NDC government.
Bawumia should make every effort to cut down on higher import costs. I am ashamed of this Mahama government that is just interested in prosecuting innocent people than fixing things in Ghana like import duties and allowing people to engage in scams and drugs.

Ghanaians your guess is as good as mine.God bless Ghana and long live Ghana.

Very interesting development. One is wondering what exactly Dr Bawumia promised to do differently when voted into office. The very VAT GUTA is complaining about was higher than the 20% they are paying today. Besides, they have the opportunity to deduct output VAT paid from input VAT collected from customers and then pay the difference to government. Previously, they could only do that on 15% and the rest was a cost to them. Is that what they again from Dr Bawumia?
