Is there any public space that traders haven't occupied in this country? Pavements, road junctions, bus stops have all been taken over. They refuse to use spaces designated for trading, and we stand back watching them helplessly. What a filthy, lawless country we live in.

A WORD TO THE WISE: NDC MUST NOT REPEAT THE NPP’S MISTAKES!
The NPP handed over power to the NDC in 2024, partly because of growing dissatisfaction among supporters and voters. If the NDC repeats the same mistakes, it could face a similar fate in 2028.
Many grassroots supporters feel neglected and are struggling economically under the current administration. Critics argue that the NPP did more to reward its party members with appointments than the NDC has done so far.
President John Mahama reduced the number of ministerial positions, leaving some supporters wondering why vacant ministerial and CEO positions remain unfilled while party loyalists continue to wait for opportunities.
The grassroots played a crucial role in bringing the NDC to power. Their concerns, sacrifices and expectations must not be ignored.
If the NDC hopes to win the 2028 elections, it must pay attention to its grassroots supporters, address their concerns and ensure that qualified party members are not forgotten.
A word to the wise is at Assin North and the entire NDC grassroots are watching.ooo

Lack of political will. Because of vote, if party A says leave the pavement, party B will vote for me when I come to power I will allow you to sell on the pavements because there is no job in the country. Bush lifestyles

The same political will is what's preventing Govt from banning Trotros in our cities. If private companies were in charge of our public transport sector operating with bigger buses this will not happen.Private companies will operate based on time instead of number of passengers, buses will therefore not queue at Lorry parks waiting for passengers. Hawkers & traders will also not get potential buyers there. Elsewhere when it's not peak hour companies keep their buses at their terminal not Lorry stations/parks

See charcoal calling the kettle black. "Enforce existing by-laws and traffic regulations across transport terminals nationwide", indeed. Hopeless and arrogant fools. When did you discover that reclaiming public properties for their intended lawful use was important and civil? Hypocrite, come out and list any terminal that the traders took over while it was in use. Tell us how the traders lifted or pushed your cars away to display their wares.
I pity any politically motivated fool who will post anything here in support of your stupid press conference. You abandoned your terminals to operate illegally, leaving them for the traders. You are the only people in society who don't rent or buy locations to work; even barbers rent shops. You turn junctions and bus stops into stations, punishing the rest of society with long traffic. Tell us which came first: you abandoning your terminals or the traders?
No traffic spot in the whole Ashanti Region is not caused by commercial drivers. They come to work without their brains and stop in the middle of the road to load and unload.
God punish you and your associations for all the pain, delays, scratches and anger you have put us through over the years. You lack the moral right to make demands. Thieves in broad daylight. You overcharge your patrons and add antics to make more money while inflicting misery on people. Your money is cursed. The traders are your photocopy, but they only stepped in when you moved to the streets. Go back, and they will step away. You have no power to give authorities ultimatums

When has the Union observed this ?? Is it during the last two years or also during the time NPP was also in power ?? Although the hawkers have become nuisance taking over lorry parks, stations, bus stops etc. and in some case such as Ashaiman the whole road, this nuisance did not start today. So why giving the government ultimatum now ??
Suggest in conjunction with the Local Government Ministry they should find a way to clear the hawkers from the roads instead ultimatum.
