Never trust the IMF, World Bank, etc. These imperialist organs never mean well for African nations. Don't be fuuled by their words. Keep on doing what you are doing, make corrections where you go wrong and do critical assessment of your work periodically. And don't swallow Mahama's evil, anti-Christ pill, though he is your boss.

Borrowing is not a bad thing, how you use the loan for it's intended purpose matters. The former government was bastardized for going to the IMF/WORLD BANK. Today the current government is using it as a stepping stone in it's economic maesures that is earning it praise. Congrats to both governments.

Very much agreed with you on your opening statement. But that is the exact opposite of what the NPP government under Fmr President Akuffo Addo did with his cousin Ken Ofori Atta. Nothing to link to link to the hardwork of current administration wo support of Ghanaians. Giving any such credit to reckless borrowing without proper accountability governance is a dangerous example for future governments.

@sackitey, you are a big fool. You are a zombie. What do you call hard work on this clueless John Mahama ? An economy where all the ministries are starved of budgetary finance. Employees under ministries have worked close to 2 years and they are not paid and you call that hard work? Go round the secondary schools and see for yourself the sort of food the students are eating. Whether a dog will eat such foods. Cocoa farmers cannot be paid what they were promised. 24 hour economy is dead. Former government projects are stand still with bushes taking over them. We can go on and on we will never finish. Put your eyes on the ground and stop listening to what their sponsored media are telling you

Oh you mean starving the ministries of loose monies like for sanitation and storm drains which ended under ministers’ beds , in poly tanks and wardrobes and countless scandals. Have you heard about Afari Military Hospital, E Blocks and others at near completion which were left to rot in the bush by the previous administration? This time around we have a government that is no playing in your gallery. Anyway for your information the information contributors don’t just listen to tabloid headlines, they read and discern on facts and make their opinions on facts.

@Kwa. Are you okay in your upstairs? Any citizen not happy because government have decided not borrow must be sick. According to what I read, the Eurobonds were used primary to shore up the cedi and if we have the Goldbod fulfilling that role, why should Ghana go to the capital market and for what reason. When the need arrive to borrow for capital projects, government will do the needful, for now Ghana can't afford go down the path the NPP took us for the last 8 years. Mind you, borrowing is not for optics, to please yourself and your friends, to prove you've arrived, its stupid and immature financial arrangement.

If you had read properly like I read yours, you will understand we were on the same page of Ghana not borrowing. But take steps not to create hardships to be voted out for the next government to go back to the IMF to borrow. The government should be weary of the IMF. They are happy for countries to borrow for them to manipulate and dictate to them.

Was the billions hand out to freely to Ghanaians or party supporters? As you said , it was used to stabilize the cedi, and importers and businessmen benefited. What's your beef? Your economic theory of allowing the cedi to run naturally is borne out of ignorance. All the world major currencies are managed by their respective central bank governors. It should not surprise you the world bank and imf are on board and I should say surprised by the turn of events. The NPP wishes for the economy to tank and the cedi running through the roof for their quest to come back to power and continue their stealing spree have now been defeated. Its only devils who wish misfortune for others, so as they can shine, you'll be ashamed of yourself.
