This kind of behaviors has to stop. We can not continue to misuse the tax payers money anyhow with no consequences. We are going around borrowing money from the World Bank and the IMF. Meanwhile, the little that we have is wasted under the watch of the Government. Can we have a little sympathy for the poor in Ghana? Not long ago the President also donated exclusive and very luxurious V8 cars as a gift to retired army officers (see Ghanaweb of 3rd August 2026). Where does the money come from?

Just don't get it why the government have to buy cars for employees & they refuse to pay. The practice have to stop. We can't continue piling debt after debt on the economy which we claim is bleeding from corruption. If an employee need a car, he or she can walk to the bank for the car loan and if they refuse to pay, the bank can seize the car or any property they can identify to repay the loan. GOVERNMENT DEFINITELY NEED TO STOP BUYING CARS FOR EMPLOYEES.

@Kk. We have leadership problem in Ghana. Our leaders are doing so many stupid things which are difficult to comprehend. The sad thing is that the mass media which are supposed to be the voice of the people are quite. I also ask the question: Why should the state lend money to people to purchase a car? This will never happen in any of the advanced industrialized countries. Here instead, if you want a car you go to the Bank and borrow money to purchase a car. An individual's consumption should not be the responsibility of the state. For heaven sake, are we really capable of ruling ourselves black people? We are doing so many stupid things which are just impossible to understand.

I will encourage gornment to continue giving cars to health workers, especially those posted to deprived communties. It will help stop health workers leaving the country. It should be based on how long you have served. Those with 10 years and above and working in rural communties should be given cars
