They are compromised, they are after money and free food.
A washing bay near transition has blocked the road by building a house and a kitchen right by the river. Instead of the assembly to demolish and make the road accessible, they instead come for free lunch and envelopes from the operator. The kitchen still uses firewood in this era and has been smoking the area residents every day. They even cut meat in the open by the drainage. The owner has all of staff in her pocket. It is an eyesore if you go behind the washing bay to see the kitchen and how dirty the place is.
It tells you how corrupt our system can be.
