Shad - It is called that way because it was supposed to be a "private" association of football clubs in Ghana. The Ghana government handed the national teams to the GFA to manage for the people, but the GFA is using the national teams to make money for themselves and claiming when they are mismanaging the national teams, the people citizens who fund the management cannot hold them accountable because they are a "private" organization. So, the simple solution is for the Sports Ministry to strip the national teams away from the GFA and start managing them under a board within the Ministry. That way we can have a direct control over the affairs of the "managers".

For Ghana, if the government does not want to go to that extent, then they should decouple the national teams from the GFA and have a board under the Sports Ministry run the all the national teams. That way the GFA can concentrate on their local leagues.
