Strictly speaking the failure of the black stars is due to selection of bad players. Only few are good for international football.

Ghanaian players have egos and patriotic. They are more loyal to the teams abroad than Ghana. Don't blame the Coach.

I have not been a fan of local players for the Black Stars. However, yesterday I watched Kotoko vs Karela United. The Kotoko central midfielder, Richard Boadu whom the fans call "Agadas" caught my attention. He is very solid and efficient. He is way better than Sibo and Yirenkyi. The Black Stars coaches should take a look at him. Now I believe there are such players in the local league who can fill in for the weak spots in the Black Stars!

Why Ghana Must NOT Give the Black Stars to Kwesi Appiah Again
Ghana is at a critical turning point. The Black Stars need **modernity**, **unity**, **fresh ideas**, and **a new football identity**. Re‑appointing Kwesi Appiah would drag Ghana backward into the same cycle of inconsistency, tactical stagnation, and internal division that has held the team hostage for years.
This is not personal.
This is not emotional.
This is football logic.
Below are the strongest, clearest, most defensible reasons **Kwesi Appiah must NOT be given the Black Stars again.**
---
## ⭐ 1. **Kwesi Appiah represents the past, not the future**
Ghana needs a coach who understands:
- modern pressing
- positional play
- tactical periodization
- data‑driven analysis
- youth integration
- high‑tempo transitions
Kwesi Appiah does **not** operate in this modern tactical space.
His coaching belongs to a previous era — one Ghana has already outgrown.
**Recycling him is not progress. It is repetition.**
Kwesi Appiah’s system does not support these players’ strengths.
Giving him the team again would **waste Ghana’s most talented generation in years.**
---
## ⭐ 4. **His return would create internal division and hierarchy conflict**
This is critical.
Kwesi Appiah has:
- long-standing relationships with senior players
- historical tensions with certain staff
- a reputation for quiet internal politics
- influence that can undermine new tactical direction
Bringing him back would **divide the bench**, **split the dressing room**, and **undermine unity**.
Ghana needs a **fresh, united coaching team**, not old rivalries.
---
## ⭐ 5. **He is not the right leader for a rebuild**
Ghana needs:
- a builder
- a system architect
- a youth developer
- a modern tactician
- a long-term planner
Kwesi Appiah is not a rebuild coach.
He is a caretaker coach.
The Black Stars need transformation — not maintenance.
---
## ⭐ 6. **His communication style does not fit modern player psychology**
Today’s players respond to:
- quiet
- reserved
- non-confrontational
- slow to adapt
- not suited for modern football dynamics
Ghana needs a coach who can **inspire**, **explain**, and **motivate**.
---
## ⭐ 7. **Ghana has better Ghanaian options — especially Didi Dramani**
This is the strongest point.
Didi Dramani is:
- modern
- tactically advanced
- CAF instructor
- FIFA technical expert
- youth developer
- system builder
- culturally aligned
- respected by players
He represents the **future** of Ghanaian coaching.
Kwesi Appiah represents the **past**.
---
# ⭐ **Conclusion: Ghana Must Not Give the Black Stars to Kwesi Appiah**
Reappointing Kwesi Appiah would be:
- a step backward
- a repeat of old mistakes
- a threat to unity
- a tactical downgrade
- a waste of Ghana’s new generation
- a barrier to modernization
Ghana needs **fresh leadership**, **modern tactics**, and **a united Ghanaian bench** — not recycled coaching.
The Black Stars must move forward.
And forward does **not** include Kwesi Appiah.

At Afcon 2023, we were kicked out under very disgracing circumstances. The 2027 Afcon performance, the mass withdrawals and dismal performance calls for deeper introspection to get to the root causes the downward trend in Ghana football. Please remember the demonstration that took place in Ghana after 2023 Afcon. We need to reconnect all these incidents and try to figure out the root causes of the decline in Ghana football. A word to the wise is enough!!!!
