If the agreement between him and SIC stipulates a payment of Ghc 280,000 plus 15% of any recovered amount of awarded judgement by the court then he cannot and must not be paid anything more than 15% of the Ghc 1,400,000 recovered.
As a lawyer, Hon Baffour Awuah should know there is a difference between court awarded judgment and actual recovered amount. The presumed award of either Ghc5 million or Ghc6 million is not recovered amount but the award amount; he is entitled to only 15% of the Ghc1.4 million recovered amount plus the previously paid legal fee of Ghc280,000.
