Too much hype without basic understanding of agro-industrial potential and Ghana’s capabilities.
For a starter, Ghana’s current production levels of all the farm produce mentioned (cocoa, pineapple, rubber, shea, avocado, oil palm, bambara beans, chickpeas, millet, quinoa, tiger nuts, and other crops) cannot sustain any meaningful industrial processing.
For example, Ghana produces about 500,000 to 600,000 metric tons of coconut annually and this volume of coconuts can only be processed by a real factory in weeks to a month. After this has been processed within a month or so, what does the factory do? Wait for next year to process the new harvest, I guess.
Yes, Ghana’s industrialization is possible but it has to be preceded by some very serious high volume agricultural output for all the crops mentioned. Most of these crops have to be produced all year, but where is the irrigation. There is always talk about that but nothing concrete has been achieved.
Mere hype day after day has been going on for decades from government to government.
Ghana is truly not a serious country when it comes to agro processing.

Yes, we all remember the Komenda sugar factory. After setting up a complete factory, there was no sugar cane to feed its processing.
