All vehicles in Ghana by law have at least 3rd party insurance. But after such accidents the family of victims are left to pickup the pieces. Imagine occupants of the taxi include single parent or the only bread winner of the family? The insurance company for the trailer and taxi MUST pay compensations to each victim. But this does not HAPPEN in corrupt Ghana. Insurance companies collect monies every year and wicked lawyers will frustrate families when they go after their due. Its time to enact a law to compel insurance companies to payup!!!
