Touting all these, yet food is expensive in Ghana compared to other African countries.
It has become obvious that prices of food items in Ghana is equivalent to that of the western world and one wonders why. In the western world, one can live comfortably on weekly price reduced items in supermarkets, an incentive you hardly see in Ghana, making it one of the most expensive places in the world to when it comes to price of food items.
Market women decide their own price because they've noticed that there is no "price control" in the system.
