Foolish boy, can you talk about "Ghana football" without the national teams, or he specifically told you that he was talking only about local teams?

I like this write up. You see in Ghana we believe everything the press say whether true or false and the press too don't find things out from the appropriate quarters before they air them. There are so many things that either we don't know or we know but don't want to say as it is. The successive governments have failed to provide modern sports infrastructures that our youth need to develop. Even see how our big stadia are Left to suffer, not even electronic pitch panels, only plywoods and ntaboo, l feel ashamed whenever I watch our teams play in these stadia. See Morocco, Ivory Coast and Senegal where I live, just to mention but few, they have World standard stadiums. In Senegal, there are three FIFA approved stadiums in the capital Dakar alone, all built by the state. If referees are taking bribes,or corruption on the part of the FA, and there is evidence to that effect, it's a crime and the government has the mandate to investigate, prosecute and resolve the federation if found guilty. So I want to say our governments have been too passive when it comes to our sports. Now to our youth football. The major problem has been the so called agents or managers of our young footballers, instead of letting them to mature, they sell them prematurely to little known leagues in Eastern Europe and the Scandinavians. Hardly do they make it to mainstream Europe, hence the down fall of our football. Where l blame the FA is they have failed to enact a regulation banning such act. In my opinion a youth must be mandated to play in our local league for at least two years including certain number of games accumulated before being cleared for sale. But I know they will not do it because they are also involved in the act.

In corollary, we can also import European youth to play in our league.

Our local leagues must be fashioned out to feed our national teams, else, we must forget about winning anything meaningful.

Football is failing due to the general failure of the nation. When there is no light, no jobs, no water, no railway, no airways and national shipping line and others no-nos how do you expect the sports not to fail? It is a general failure from the corrupt political structures that had affected everything. Our sports in general is in total shambles. The President wants to know why? He has been in charge of the government for about 8years and still wants to know why we are failing. He wants to know why we are sinking after we are already at the bottom. How we can get up as we have hit the base and can not fall anymore.
