From June 2026 to August 2026, they increased the fare three times. this is very bad.

Please, I kindly appeal to the GPRTU and GRTCC to intervene and suspend the frequent increases in transport fares.
The transport fares for both Stanbic Bus and VVIP Bus services on the Accra–Takoradi route, and vice versa, have increased significantly within a very short period. The fares were previously GH₵120 and GH₵100 respectively, but from June 2026 to August 2026, they were increased three times. The fare is now 150gh and 120gh respectively, that is very expensive for passengers.
This frequent increase is becoming a serious burden on passengers and the general public. Such repeated increases within a short period are very concerning and need to be reviewed.
I therefore respectfully call on the GPRTU and GRTCC to investigate the matter and take the necessary steps to protect passengers from unreasonable and frequent fare increases.
