It is about local issuers being required to hold reserves in Ghana Cedis with commercial banks to fully collateral their stablecoins for use in peer-to-peer local transactions as a way of stemming the spectre of capital flight in using foreign (USD-backed ) stablecoins like usdt, usdc etc.
3. there are close to 20 locally registered companies with local capital in the sandboxes of the BoG and SEC already testing their digital/virtual asset use cases for licensing and deployment by next year.
