The body of a 35-year-old security guard has been discovered in a pool of water at an abandoned construction site near the Frimps Filling Station in Wa.
The deceased, identified only as Eric, had been reported missing since Friday, September 4, 2026. He was found this morning at the site where he worked as a night-shift security guard.
According to an X post by SIKA OFFICIAL and sighted by GhanaWeb, the discovery was made at the unfinished construction area adjacent to the filling station.

Video footage from the scene, shared by Home Radio 99.7FM, shows the location featuring an incomplete structure with standing water, overgrown vegetation, and the body covered and later handled by responders.
Ghana Police personnel were present, and the remains were recovered and transported from the site.
"The black polythene you are seeing right now is a man believed to be in his early 30s. He was found dead and abandoned around this pool on the Wa-Kumasi road, near the Frimps Filling Station. The Ghana National Fire Service, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service have been here to pull him from the pool."
"They have been able to identify the man and have spoken with his family, who are here to allow them to conduct a proper investigation," the person behind the video recording was heard saying.
