Mr. Sekou, all that you said are correct and possible but we must keep the NPP away from power for at least 20 years for Ghana to achieve and sustain the desired industrialization agenda. Ghana under NDC moves a step forward, Npp comes and takes us two steps backward. Your Late Father and Father of the Nation set the tones for Ghana's industrialization but the Danquah-Dombo-Busia family destroyed our hopes and their descendants continue the nation-wrecking process. The 24-hour economy is another attempt to re-ignite and reset the industrialisation process and must be intentionally and vigorously pursued and sustained, no matter which regime is in power. The NDPC must prepare a long-term industrialisation plan for Ghana that must constitutionally be binding on all political parties to incorporate into their manifestos. It is only then that Ghana can move on with real industrialisation and developments that the citizens desire. Any political party that deviates from the plan must be sanctioned and constitutionally removed from power.

Most right. Though I don’t think bawumia will be such a bad president like Akoffo addo. My worry about bawumia is that I can’t see vim in him- the npp hawks will manipulate him like koliko

Mr Nkrumah must not seen all the demolition and 24hr markets under construction...Ghana will have the most modern markets across the country running 24 hours when the project is completed.

What are they going to sell for 24 hrs? Who is going to shop or buy in 24 hours? Do the people even make enough to shop? In a country where darkness prevails after 8pm, this policy is just a gimmick.

These types of intellectually starved argument or statement from tired Phd holders or so call learned ghanaians makes me sick. 24 hr economy does not literally mean looking at the clock. Ghana has always run snippets of 24hr services over the years but they were not widespread nationwide and unfortunately such services have died down. This concept is not only to restore a long overdue service deliveries but also encourage the use of all hours within the 24 hour day instead of the usual 12 hour sleep and our typical only 5 hours production time.

You do it by starting, deliberately starting the foundation and slowly building it up. It's a process, not an event. You know this.

It's all supply and demand
Mahama wants to push .more productivity but where are the buyers and e very one is broke
Even filling stations open 24 hours and tired repairers and no sales
Car breakdowns towing vehicles to workshops without. Mechanic.cs and spare parts stores closed....
I think mostly govt services must work 24 hours in some sectors to clear backlogs
Any sensible govt can do that to fast track services .

Good. School them. Teach them because I don't think Mahama thought through the concept or even understood what he was saying when he launched the 24 hour economy initiative. Because he (Mahama) didn't know what he was saying he ended up just cutting sods for the construction of so called 24 hour markets. Africas problem is basically a leadership problem. We don't have knowledgeable leaders.
