A 29-year-old Ghanaian allegedly caused panic in Martina Franca, Italy, after attacking several people and striking passing vehicles with an iron bar.

In a video widely circulated on social media on September 6, 2026, the man was seen stopping a car carrying an elderly woman and taking her handbag before turning his attention to passing vehicles and pedestrians, whom he attacks with the iron bar.

One man intervened to stop him and was soon joined by several others who tried to defend themselves and those around them.

The confrontation continued for a while before the group eventually overpowered the Ghanaian and restrained him.

Reports indicate that he has been arrested by the authorities.
