Deborah Seyram Adablah, the Ghanaian National Service personnel popularly described as the “embattled side chick” of former bank CFO Ernest Kwesi Nimako, has clarified reports surrounding her ongoing legal case against him.
In a video shared on Instagram on September 2, 2026, Seyram responded to a netizen’s comment that the case had been thrown out. She insisted the matter is still pending before court.
“We are still in court. The court never threw any case away. I don't know the media house that reported that, but I'm here to tell you: in 2026, we are in court. We have not yet determined the case.
“In court proceedings, we have motions, we file applications, we file a lot of things. So, if one application from a bank, a party, a second defendant in the case, they strike out their pleadings or something, it doesn't mean they have thrown the case away. We have the obligation to educate ourselves in this country. We shouldn't be behaving like this,” she said.
Seyram further stressed that it is time for some Ghanaians to educate themselves by seeking facts rather than relying on rumours.
She cautioned that the misinformation surrounding her case could discourage other young women from pursuing justice in court, potentially driving them to harmful alternatives such as black magic.
“Ghanaians, don't be behaving like this. We are still in court. So stop spreading this, or somebody somewhere that needs justice will shy away from also going to court and rather move to juju. By the time she realises, she's into depression because she will move from juju so that she will not be getting results, while she can go to court.

“And even though in court you will fight people because in every house there's a Mensah; in court you fight, but then you know where you are going,” she added.
Adablah’s legal troubles began after she filed a lawsuit against Nimako, accusing him of breaching promises allegedly made during their intimate relationship.
Her claims included demands for monetary compensation and ownership of a Honda Civic, which she said had been gifted to her.
On May 16, 2023, the court ordered Adablah to surrender the vehicle, with registration number GC 7899-23, to the court registrar for safekeeping pending the final determination of the case. However, reports indicate that she defied the directive.
Further aggravating her situation, Adablah released two videos on social media in which she launched personal attacks on the presiding judge, Justice John Bosco Nabarese.
In the videos, she accused the judge of bias and unprofessional conduct, questioned the integrity of Ghana's judiciary, and dismissed the contempt proceedings as “dead on arrival.”
Following this conduct, Adablah was arrested again but later released.
