We speak against Public Tribunals because of past experiences during Efo Julor John Rawlings' time. How many people were unjustifiably found guilty at those Public Tribunals and executed. They did not even have any room to appeal against any sentences by the Tribunals. And Tsatsu Tsikata, the much acclaimed lawyer was a prosecutor then. I can agree if more Courts could be established but not called Public Tribunals and don't operate as the Public Tribunals at the time of Efo Julor John Rawlings. If Law Courts are established, do we need to call them Public Tribunals? Or it is just attempts to put fear in people who appear before them? Why don't we call them Courts but Public Tribunals?

It seems that this young man has been damaged by drugs, and is beyond redemption. The crew of Akabenezer in Kumasi tried hard to rehabilitate him, but could not succeed. If he is incarcerated in our prison system, he will return to become an armed robber. The young man needs proper psychological help and proper counselling.

Everything is up for stealing in Ghana and the wonderful courts are so great they just keep adjourning criminal cases for years on end till the complainant gives up and the criminal is discharged with no punishment. Why are we surprised that theft is the norm and not the exception in every aspect of daily life. Corruption and greed have just been normalised

Government should not be taking care of the youth. It should be parents and society. I grew up in Ghana and was never involved in, or arrested for any criminal activities because I had very strong and very disciplined parents.
Society should also be involved in bringing the youth up in an acceptable manner. Those days, your neighbors could discipline you for criminal activities after which you were taken home to your parents for more punishment for disgracing the family. What do we have now? A corrupt and rotten society where people just want to get rich overnight through any means- legally or Illegally.

You don't understand this guy's issues. There are equally many guys his age who are trying to make ends meet for themselves. Why must he be taken care of? Because he was cast in a movie? Can't he find anything else to do if acting did not pan out? Turning to drug use is his biggest mistake as it is ruining his life.

Definitely something is going on with him to go to that extend. Youths in Ghana, are walking around starving for food which makes them act criminally. It's definitely wrong to steal but he's losing his mind.
