Leadership by example, that's what civilized and advanced societies practice democracy, where all men are held liable to the constitution. We shouldn't allow a greedy group of people to make a constitution that protects them from being held responsible and possibly jailed if they are found corrupt. US since independence in 1776 had practiced four year term to be the most developed and powerful on the globe.Then all the developed nations in Europe are on the four year mission. The leaders there come with principles to equate fundamental growth.
Here in Ghana from 1992 to this present moment what had been the achievement of past and present presidents. The only ambition is money, 10% of loans from different nations or World Bank. Upon all the mineral resources; proper artisans; Professors etc. Ghana is poor. Ghanaian leaders travel Abroad often. What they see there, which of them is in this country implemented? They only come to amass themselves with wealth then vanish or disappear. Even railway which is common in Europe and US GHANA can not build. There is wonder why there are elections in Ghana. Only to choose new set of mismanagements. Ghana ugly nation as it is, yet they do not feel shy. Every International Meeting in Ghana to expose the leadership weakness.
In Ghana power is assumed to hunt ourselves. Five years would Be burdensome.

Very poorly thought through change.
There was already a provision for anyone Ghanaian willing to serve Ghana, surrender any other citizenship and serve with full commitments.
If they cannot give that up, they are surely not ready to serve.
This is too large a risk to take.
The worry of sabotage and espionage is too great.
I know the certain leaders are mostly confused but this can only get worse.
This is why counties like Haiti and Liberia are what they are and will remain so. They end up with people in government who are there to serve themselves and a foreign government than the people they derive their office and opportunity?
