I have said it multiple times. Unless contraindicated, every person should consider taking low dose Aspirin daily about 5 days before making a long trip. I’m 99% sure that the cause of death is Deep Vein Thrombosis. This is the number one reason passengers collapse at the airport after getting off the plane from a long flight. Sitting for long hours in a flight causes blood flow to your legs to slow down considerably, as your legs muscles are not working to return the blood to your heart fast enough. The sluggish blood then forms some tiny clots in your legs. This is called Deep Vein Thrombosis. When you get off the plane and start to walk, your legs muscles help propel these clots into your lungs and block off blood circulation to the lungs. The high pressure generated by the blockages causes the lungs arteries to rupture leading to respiratory collapse and immediate death. Taking low-dose aspirin, if not contraindicated, will thin your blood and make it harder for clots to form while you’re sitting in the plane for long hours.

I believe if flight attendants as part of their routine customer service on board keep announcing whenever it's safe to walk around it can save first time travellers from Dad situations like this.
