That is your assumption. Who told you they are not graduates? They are both university graduates from the French educational system and hold degrees. A degree does not become less valuable because it was obtained in French rather than English.
And do you understand the importance of education more than Abedi Pele and his wife, who has a legal background? Education is not defined by language. Whether your degree is from a French, English, Russian, Dutch, or any other recognized university system, you are still a graduate. A Ghanaian with a first degree can pursue an MBA in France and vice versa.
So before making claims about people's educational backgrounds, get your facts right. What you don't know, don't present as fact.

What “agenda” are you talking about? We are discussing leadership and the future of Ghana football.
So because Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien, Asamoah Gyan and Kevin-Prince Boateng have not stepped forward to contest the GFA presidency, André Dede Ayew should also sit down and watch Ghana football continue to decline?
Look at what other football nations are doing.
Cameroon elected Samuel Eto’o as FECAFOOT president in 2021 after he challenged the incumbent. He remains president today.
Ukraine elected the legendary Andriy Shevchenko as president of its Football Association in 2024. He captained Ukraine, won the Ballon d’Or and later coached the national team.
Georgia elected former international Levan Kobiashvili as FA president. He won 100 caps for Georgia and played 16 years in Germany. Under his leadership, Georgia expanded infrastructure and grassroots participation and reached the knockout stage of EURO 2024. UEFA itself quotes him saying it is “crucial to have former players in key roles.”
Bulgaria elected former international striker Georgi Ivanov as president of its Football Union in 2024. His stated objective was to change the football environment and rebuild trust.
Zambia previously elected African Footballer of the Year Kalusha Bwalya as FA president. He first served as vice-president before winning the presidency and serving two terms.
So there is nothing strange about a former national-team player seeking leadership of his country's football.
The question should not be: “Why Dede Ayew?”
The question should be: Why should someone with nearly two decades inside Ghana's national-team system, experience across different generations of Ghana football and extensive international football exposure be discouraged from offering himself for leadership?
If you believe Ghana football needs change, somebody has to be bold enough to step forward. Leadership positions are contested, not handed to people because they are legends.
André Ayew does not automatically deserve the GFA presidency because he played football. He must present a credible programme, demonstrate administrative competence and convince the football constituency. But being a former footballer is certainly not a reason to disqualify him. International experience shows the opposite.
Ghana football needs serious debate about grassroots development, academies, coaching, infrastructure, youth competitions, player development and long-term technical direction. Let the candidates present their plans, let the football people scrutinise them, and let the best person win.
But telling a former Black Stars captain not to contest simply because other Ghanaian legends have chosen not to contest makes no sense.

Well , Kwaku has just expressed his singular opinion and for the fact that every individual is entitled to his or her opinion, he may be right. But in my opinion, Kwaku's presentation is a complete bias one because if an experienced journalist like Kwaku Yeboah is to write or talk about experience of former players in Ghana who could be FA president without mentioning Kwasi Appiah, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan et Al, before mentioning Dede, then probably he has personal issues with those ones he ignored, period. Personally, I don't think Dede has anything richer than Stephen Appiah and others, as far as knowledge and experience in whatever direction he is speaking. In short, that topic, for a former player to become an FA president in Ghana cannot be concluded without mentioning a whole lot of them before mentioning Dede, period

I have lost all the respect I had for Dan Kwaku Yeboah. Why can a so called seasoned journalist suggest that Dede Ayew can be a GFA president? Being a successful player doesn’t suggest that the person can be GFA president. Is Dede the most successful player in Ghana? How about Abedi, A Gyan, Tony Yeboah, Polo, and the rest. If we are considering Ghana’s most successful footballers Dede doesn’t come in the first twenty. And being a successful footballer doesn’t qualify one to be an administrator. You also goofed sometime ago when you said Polo is Ghana’s all time best player. Where are the Sundays, Joe Car, Adolf Armah, Malik, John Eshun, Mike Essien, Kwadwo Asamoah. What has Polo achieved more than these player?
