On October 10, 1964, Ghana’s Olympic delegation marched into the stadium dressed in traditional kente, proudly showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage on the global stage.

The Tokyo Games were historic as they became the first Olympics to be hosted in Asia, bringing together athletes from 93 countries.
