Henry Opoku Ware, an international student from Ghana, reportedly a student of the College of St Scholastica, Minnesota, has been criminally charged after allegedly exploiting a blind, elderly client while working as a home caregiver.

Opoku Ware reportedly used the credit card of the blind woman he was working for as a personal care assistant (PCA) to pay his school bills.

He allegedly went into hiding after committing the crime and was only recently arrested in Ohio after being involved in a road crash.

According to a report by [fox21online.com](http://fox21online.com), dated November 17, 2025, the personal care assistant stole the credit card of his client and charged thousands of dollars to it.

It was stated in the report that court documents showed that Opoku Ware visited his client’s home in late July 2025, and that was when he committed the crime.

Opoku Ware, who was officially charged in mid-October 2025, reportedly charged $11,152.22 to the credit card between July and August 2025.

The blind woman, her husband, and their children said they did not permit Opoku Ware to use the card.
