The Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, has responded to viral allegations that he snatched the wife of popular Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam.

According to him, the woman, who is now his second wife, was divorced before he married her. He explained that she had been in a relationship with the musician and that they had been separated before he met her.

Speaking in an interview shared on social media, Chairman Buga Buga stated that Fancy Gadam had publicly announced the end of his relationship with the woman before he became involved with her.

Fancy Gadam and I do not have any problem. I met him once in a restaurant in Accra. People are accusing me of being a wife snatcher, but that is not true. I do not know whether it is a crime to propose to a woman who was previously in a relationship that has ended. They were no longer together. Even Fancy Gadam publicly stated that he was no longer with the lady,” he said.

He further dismissed claims that he had been dating the woman while she was still in a relationship with Fancy Gadam, describing such reports as false.

According to Chairman Buga Buga, he met the woman only about two months ago and subsequently married her through the appropriate traditional and legal processes.

“As a man of my status, I would not just date a woman casually. After knowing her for about two months, I married her, and she is now my second wife,” he added.
