Why do we try to oppose everything in this country and link it to job creation and lost of job etc. ?? Bringing over aged cars is causing a lot of problems such as pollution, etc. The PVoC should be rolled out so that cars over 10 years in use in Europe and elsewhere should be stopped being dumped in Ghana.

I really don't know which of these responses I should comment on because it's sad and if the same "standard" tag is applied to the cars currently being used in Ghana, honestly some of them wouldn't even qualify to be sold to the junk yards for spare parts. In these countries where these cars are shipped from, they have standards. So a car may be 10 years old yet better than some of those in the country now, whether brand new or not. When VW was caught in the emissions scandal some years back in the US, did the Ghana government even ask them about the cars they assemble in Ghana? If they did, please let me know the outcome. Let us be realistic rather than rolling out new initiatives without proper analysis of their implications.
