it all started few years ago when i received a Facebook message that a travel agency in Lagos Nigeria was recruiting Ghanaians and Nigerians for jobs in Canada, i sold everything i had and borrowed money from a lot of people and kept sending them money for the travel to Canada, when i ran out of money to send to them, they invited me to Lagos that my visa is ready, when i got to Lagos they took the remaining money i had on me and took my phone and refused to give me my passport that i posted to them earlier from Ghana, i was left stranded and was sleeping under a bridge with some other homeless people and was begging people during the day for help to go back to Ghana, police raided the place i was squatting after some days and arrested everybody there, they took us to court because hard drugs and guns were found on some prostitutes and thugs squatting there, i was sentenced to 2 years in prison because i had nobody and lawyer to defend me, i will finish serving my sentence in 3 months time and deported to Ghana, my fellow Ghanaians please help me with any amount you can spare so i can eat and treat myself, i have been sick and i have not eaten good food for sometime now, i don't want to die now my freedom date is near, no amount is too small to help me with, i will appreciate any amount sent to me and God will bless and reward the sender abundantly, i can work for the sender when i return to Ghana in 3 months time to pay back, we manage to use smuggled phones here to beg people through Facebook and other social media platforms, this is how most prisoners here survive because we are very desperate, the situation here is so terrible, horrible and pathetic, infact we are in hellfire here, people die everyday here from starvation and minor illnesses like malaria and ulcer, please i need help urgently, i need to eat good food and buy malaria drugs to treat myself, the food they give us here is small portions of watery beans and jollof rice that can't satisfy a child, when an inmate is sick here and doesn't have money to buy medication, the prison warders will ignore you until you die or recover without taken medication, they may only give you paracetamol and antibiotics if you cry too much, but if you have money, the prison warders can buy for you good food and medicines from outside, i can be reached on WhatsApp via +2348140725576, this is my cellmate's number, some warders smuggle in phone for people here if you bribe them, i don't have a phone, when you chat, tell her you want to chat with Sandra so she can give the phone to me, please help make my story go viral so i can get help by posting my story and my cellmate's WhatsApp number: +2348140725576 on Facebook and WhatsApp groups, please i need help, i'm suffering a lot here.

Total waste of taxpayers money. There should be a referendum on this issue, rather, the members be reduced to 100. No of these MPs only add to the numbers. Because the house is almost always empty, video from the house in recent times show only the MP speaking but not the entire house in order to not expose the empty seats. This is very very unnecessary.

We need to reduce their numbers their inputs doesn't reflect their output. As he tightly said, they represent themselves and their party not the public. Mps are the causes of our problems. They know exactly what to do for the betterment of the nation but selfishness and party-centredness does not allow them to do the right thing. I will go for a maximum of 150 Mps and a maximum of 30 ministers.

Africans are capable of ruling ourselves and have been doing so long before the western type of rule emerged. I believe that democracy must be tailored to fit our needs culture and customs and not necessarily exactly the western style. But alas, the western style helps them siphon money and lie to the people all the time so it has been embraced totally.
They must swear by the gods before taking office and see how Ghana will leap forward in her development

Parliamenterians are of no use for this country. They are only draining our scanty resources for their selfish interests. Let a beggar enter Parliament, the next minute you see him or her driving a V8, distributing money, rice, and others to party people. I challenge EOCO and OSP to investigate them for us to know the source of their wealth. Ghanaian workers are paid peanuts but a lot of money is being placed at the disposal of MPs in the name of MP common Fund. That money should be given to the Assemblies for development projects. The MPs are in Parliament to make laws.

4.Caping of Ministers to 60 instead of 30 0r 35
These are issues that Ghanaians must kick against during the referendum.
They are silence on relevant issues that bother Ghanaians:
1. Removal of Ex-gratia and Article 72 appointees. Why should some people go home with ex-gratia and full monthly salary while others go with nothing after years of sacrifice?
2. Reduction of appointing powers of the president
3.Cap the numbet of terms MPs can run for office
4. Dissolve the Council of State. Not relevant in our political space in the current dispensation

For Ghana to achieve effective governance, I propose a clear structural reform: cap the executive at 30 ministers, but strictly bar sitting Members of Parliament from holding these appointments. Instead, ministers should be non-partisan technocrats—seasoned professionals with direct, hands-on expertise in the specific sectors they are tasked to manage.
This separation is critical because the current system, in place since 1992, overburdens MP-ministers, forcing them to juggle demanding legislative duties with heavy executive oversight. Often, the motivation for combining these roles appears financially driven—the allure of "double pay"—rather than a genuine commitment to administrative efficiency. By appointing dedicated experts to run our ministries and agencies directly, we can ensure focused leadership, accountability, and measurable results.
Ghana, it is time to wake up and deeply review this model. God bless our homeland Ghana.

This is the direct source of all our problems, lack of development, abject poverty, unnecessary deaths and debts everywhere over the past 57 years. They don't care, all our MPs want is to be rich, millionaires, to hell with the ants, the Ghanaian people, all the contracts, government contracts are awarded between themselves, business partners, CEOs and family members with no work done or very inferior work done. When our MPs become a minister, they give all our minerals away for 5%, 10 %, maximum with tax 16%, then they will tell the ants, the people of Ghana the lease agreement is the best in the world. Corrupt and evil bunch of human beings, country wreckers, good example, Tarkwa Goldfields mining company - they help investors to rob us, fools, and they think we are stupid. I USED TO RESPECT KWESI PREMPEH SO HE HAS SHOCKED ME
Key disappoints from Kwesi Prempeh’s committee:
1) The 5-year presidential term;
2) The 300 member parliament!
It’s unbelievable !!!
I have always considered him an idiot
Exactima. We no go gree
We are going to get more Naa Koryoos, A Plus, Akurugus etc in that august house in future if we don't check the number

Effecting this constitutional amendment will be the most useless, needless and an unnecessary drain of public resources. It ought to be capped at the current number of 276.
Who told you there is no money in Ghana?
Ghanaian politics?
Indeed, what are the benefits of so many MPs?
A bag of charcoal to the corrupt traditional rulers during elections?
When Akuffo-Addo was running the country with 130 ministers you got muted but immediately got your voice back for a cap at 60 ministers.
You are the nation wreckers who aren't honest.
The committee has just done a shoddy useless work for Ghana. Wasted our resources
