The final funeral rites of the late founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission, Apostle Professor Kwadwo Safo, are underway at the Independence Square in Accra despite a 10-day interim injunction issued by the Accra High Court over the funeral and burial arrangements.

Church members, family, friends and sympathisers have gathered to pay their last respects to the renowned entrepreneur, inventor and religious leader.

The court order, issued on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, temporarily restrained former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo from proceeding with the funeral arrangements pending the determination of a case before the court.

Apostle Professor Kwadwo Safo passed away on September 11, 2025, at the age of 77.
