Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw, has praised National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, describing him as an honest, principled, and mature politician whom he prefers to succeed President John Dramani Mahama.
Speaking in an interview on GhanaWeb TV's LowDown, Ampaw said Asiedu Nketiah stands out because of his integrity and commitment to speaking the truth.
"I would prefer Asiedu Nketiah because of his honesty, his style of politics and the maturity. He's somebody that I admire because he's a principled man. He believes in the truth. Asiedu Nketiah hardly lies,” he said.

In his estimation, Asiedu Nketiah's experience and leadership style make him a suitable candidate to lead the NDC in the future, stressing that his honesty is one of the qualities he admires most.
Ampaw contended that Asiedu Nketiah's age and experience make him a more suitable choice, warning that elevating younger figures could create problems for the party.
He stressed that the NDC would be better served by a veteran politician with a high level of maturity and principles.
