Private legal practitioner, Maurice Ampaw, has declared that he cannot be intimidated by anyone, because his open criticisms are rooted in truth.

Speaking in an interview on GhanaWeb TV's LowDown, Ampaw said he has never been afraid to challenge powerful individuals, including politicians and traditional leaders, because he believes truth is his greatest defence.

"What I'm telling you right now concerning judges is the truth. So, no judge can tackle me. And the judges know that what I'm saying is true," he indicated.

Ampaw maintained that honesty shields him from intimidation, adding that he moves around without security because he has faith in his purpose and believes his time will come when it is meant to.

"I don't walk with security. I walk alone and I don't fear anybody because, at the end of the day, I believe that I have a purpose," he said.

He also argued that opposition and criticism are inevitable for anyone making an impact, saying only the dead and the mentally unstable have no enemies or challenges.

"Once I'm alive and I'm not mad, I should attract enemies," he stated.
