Student nurses at Krobo Nursing Training College were seen hooting at the school's principal as police escorted her off campus following a protest over poor living conditions at the institution.

In a video sighted by GhanaWeb on July 30, 2026, dozens of students gathered at the entrance of the principal’s office, shouting and hooting at her as officers escorted her into a police vehicle.

The protest was reportedly sparked by the students' dissatisfaction with the quality of meals served at the college and persistent sanitation challenges on campus.

The students demonstrated against what they described as unfair treatment by management and deteriorating welfare conditions on campus.

The issues at the centre of the protest stemmed from long-standing welfare challenges, including poor feeding arrangements, poor sanitary conditions, and inadequate communication between college management and the Students' Representative Council (SRC).

According to NUGS, the students resorted to the demonstration as a last option after exhausting internal channels for dialogue with school authorities.
