This is complete nonsense. Does this man understand the meaning of state capture. You take a mine worth over 1 billion and gift it to President brother. Who do you expect to develop future mines with no hope of lease extension. Democracy has failed mother Ghana. How much did the people of Ghana receive for Damang mine. Answer is zero. God will deal with those responsible for this financial loss.

I understand that allowing the brother of the sitting president to own a very profitable mine does not pass the smell test. It smells of nepotism, which is bad for a matured democracy. However, Mr Ibrahim Mahama is eminently qualified and well positioned financially and technically to own and operate such a mine. Matter of fact, he may be one of very few Ghanaians with both the technical expertise and financial connections to opurchase such a mining concession, and keep it in Ghanaian hands. It is state capture, but will benefit Ghanaian economy if the media and parliament make sure that he creates jobs. Ghana will be the ultimate beneficiary. He already owns mining operations in several African countries.

Criminal and corrupt politicians will always tell you what you want to hear, but behind the scene is full of corruption and lies. This useless minister, a minister turned business man, with no experience in business or formal certificate in business is marketing Ghana for pittance, maximum 10% royalty plus taxes to give away our minerals to the so called foreign investors, Lazy approach as always, easy way out, working for ourselves is too hard, we should mine iur minerals ourselves, state own, that is the only way forward, not this silly PR work that you are doing to stay in your position and in news, you should be sacked end of. Finally, start the termination process of the lease of Tarkwa Goldfields mining company or there will be fire works in Ghana come next year April, there will be demonstrations everywhere in Ghana, before we were blind, but now we can see..
