What is difficult to understand is why some criminal cases in Ghana can take as long as six years or more to conclude. Such prolonged delays weaken public confidence in the justice system and can hinder national progress.
Our political culture also needs serious reflection. Too often, politicians appear more focused on defending party interests than serving the people. Many Ghanaians are frustrated by what they see as a lack of accountability and integrity in public office.
When public figures facing serious allegations are defended on national television before the legal process has run its course, it deepens public mistrust. Every accused person deserves a fair trial and the presumption of innocence, but accountability and due process must be allowed to take their course.

How can some Ghanaians turn a blind eye to the magnitude of damage Wontumi has caused to our forest reserves and our economy system for his own selfish interest. The aftermath of his actions in Sameboi resulted to the recent floods in the area that has never been witnessed by the inhabitants of the area . This illegal mining activity in the country will eventually lead to sink holes all over the affected areas which will cause future building to collapse as residential areas continue to expand in the country. Even the late Sir John who was supposed to oversee the Achimota forest ended up selling the property to his family members and cronies yet we have all remained silent about it. Let’s love our country by protecting the land , our river bodies and our natural resources.
