Finance Minister Cassiel Ato Forson has stated that after prudently managing Ghana’s economy, the capital markets have been inviting Ghana.
However, he says the country is not in a hurry to go to them for loans to run the country.
Presenting the mid-year budget review, Cassiel Ato Forson, PhD, said, “The market is inviting us back, but I want to assure you that we are not in a hurry.”
The minister hailed the government’s superior economic management, which led Ghana to where she currently is.
“The progress Ghana is recording today did not happen by chance. It is superior economic management,” he indicated.
The Minister further indicated that Ghana has become attractive to investors, indicating policy rate dropping to 14% in July is enabling businesses to thrive.
Dr Forson said, "A lower policy rate is creating room for investors to expand."
