I've always had a problem with these initiatives by our governments both the NPP and NDC,none has worked over time( 1DIF) .How can you just share chicks wholesale to people who have no interest in poultry farming and expect some dividend out of it. If the government really wants Ghana to produce poultry and stop imports, serious farmers must be identified and supported to farm large scale and not the masses.This current approach will just not work. In America only 6% ie 40,000 commercial farms produce poultry products. So in Ghana we need just 4000 serious commercial farmers per our population. America is 350m and Ghana 34m
